The founder and designer of DARKNUDE Menswear shares the brand’s story.

A brand born from a clear vision, a powerful impulse, and a passion for modern menswear. A story of perfect fits, premium quality, and a contemporary style that resonates with men. Every story often begins quite inconspicuously and quietly. A story doesn’t start with a big bang or a fully formed idea—but with a moment of stillness. An empty sketchbook lies before me, a pen in my hand, and the light falls softly through the windows of my design studio. That is how stories are born. That is how projects come to life. And yet, this beginning feels different.

Because this time, there is something I cannot push aside. A memory.

It carries me back to Milan, to the year 2016. A warm night, filled with voices, music, and that feeling of boundless freedom. I was out with friends, letting ourselves drift from place to place, from moment to moment—until we finally arrived there.

At that party.

Everything was intense. Real. Unfiltered. A party charged with energy, physicality, and an effortless sense of being. People revealing themselves without needing to explain. The atmosphere was electric—and right in the midst of it, it happened.

I saw him.

Some encounters last only seconds, yet change everything. He was one of those moments. A dancer who didn’t seek attention—yet commanded it naturally. Powerful, present, sensual. A bear who occupied his space without demanding it.

He wore large, white angel wings on his back. They moved fluidly with him, as if alive. The light caught them, making them appear almost ethereal. His outfit was stripped-back, almost minimalist—a white harness, a white jockstrap. And therein lay his strength. Nothing was a distraction. Everything spoke volumes.

But it wasn’t just his appearance.

He didn’t simply dance—he told a story. With every movement. With every pose. Free, proud, untouchable. As if embodying a version of masculinity that required no permission.

And right there, in that fleeting instant, the real story began.

Not on paper. Not in the studio. But in the mind.

Back in my studio, that image wouldn’t let go of me. It kept coming back—clearer, stronger. I began to draw. At first, just lines—almost tentative ones. Then shapes. Then ideas. Memory turned into concept. Feeling turned into direction.

I wanted to do more than just design clothes.

I wanted to create something that embodies an attitude. Men’s underwear that doesn’t hide, but reveals. That doesn’t force the body into a mold, but celebrates it—whether slim, muscular, or burly. Cuts that empower. Materials you can truly feel. Designs that say: It’s okay to be who you are.

The angels from that night became symbols. Not perfect, not ethereal—but sensual, confident, and a little rebellious. Male angels who aren’t aloof or detached, but right in the thick of life. They became the faces of an idea.

And slowly, everything fell into place.

What began as a fleeting glimpse grew into a movement. First in my thoughts, then on paper, and finally in reality. A vision of menswear that is more than just function. That carries identity. That projects presence.

That is how stories are born.

Not planned. Not perfect. But born from a moment that stays with you.
